Hat: Topshop | Coat: H&M | Band Tee: Fall Out Boy Tour '14 | Jeans: Topshop | Dr Martens: The Doc Shop | Lipstick: ESP - Illamasqua

Didn't really get up to much yesterday, walked into town for a mooch around and a Krispy Kreme, so I thought I would get a few snaps taken before I popped out to show you all what I wore. The weather's getting warmer but its still not warm enough to go out in only one layer, but this fur jacket that I recently picked up in H&M (£39.99) is perfect for these types of days to keep the chilly winds away!

I thought Id get out my docs as I have been neglecting them lately, although they gave me almighty blisters that I am now struggling with! Karma I suppose aha!

What have you been wearing to help transition from winter to spring?

Also, before I go! I have recently started contributing to SANT Magazine as a new writer. Check out their website and my latest post for them here!

I've had such a busy week, what with University deadlines, work and just general errands and what not. I think I prefer it that way, don't you? Keeping busy all the time,  never a dull moment aye! I've got a few exciting plans coming up on this blog and in other areas of my life which I can't wait to share with you all but you will have to wait a bit longer to find out, so check back if you want to be nosey!

As per usual there have been a few bits and bobs that I'm lusting over and forever wishing I had the money to buy. I'm really interested in learning about cultures world wide and visiting new places each year on my holidays so I thought this little travel guide might be quite useful! Ive always had a special place in my heart for Dr Martens - hence the name of this blog - and my love for chunky, ugly shoes is forever growing so these booties would be a perfect addition to my collection.

I came across this suede skirt while mooching through Miss Selfridge the other day. its such a cute pieceve always had a special place in my heart for Dr Martens - hence the name of this blog - and my love for chunky, ugly shoes is forever growing so these booties would be a perfect addition to my collection.

The adidas jumper is just a basic buy that Im looking at, just for those comfy days where you can't be bothered but still want to look like you've made some kind of effort. Last but not least, Benefit's new Rollerlash Mascara! I purchased Elle Magazine when they were giving the little tester of this product out as the free gift and fell in love with it, so obviously I want the bigger size.

What have you been loving lately? Anything similar to my wishes?

(from left to right)
Topshop £50
ASOS £45
Topshop £40

I'm loving rain macs at the minute, what with England being one of the most miserable countries weather wise! Take me back ten years and I would have thrown a tantrum if my mum had put me in a rain mac - who wanted to be THAT kid at school. But now, I'm realising the practicality of them and how they are actually pretty cool. They are perfect for festival season and so easy to just throw on over a simple outfit when running errands and so on. I will definitely be looking into purchasing one this year.

(a group of kids rode past on their bikes at this point and laughed at me posing haha, so I waved at those haters aha!)
Coat: Miss Selfridge | Jumper: River Island | Riding Pants: American Apparel | Trainers: Footlocker | Bag: Urban Outfitters

Just a quick post, to show you what I wore to uni today. Had a 9am start, so I threw anything on and it luckily looked decent! Im quite liking black and white tones at the minute, however I thought I needed a pop of colour to wake me up for the day ahead. My Nike Roshe Runs are my favourite shoes at the minute, they are just so lightweight and easy to walk in - its like walking on clouds!

I haven't really got much else to update you on, so I'll stop before I start boring you.
What colours are you loving at the minute?

Hat: Topshop | Coat: Primark | Jumper: Primark | Jeans: Topshop | Trainers: Schuh | Bag: Vivienne Westwood @ Harrods | Lipstick: Lasting Finish By Kate Moss (shade 110)

So I was able to take my new Vivienne Westwood for an outing today for the first time since buying it! Strutting down the road like one sassy chick I was haha! Thought id capture my look as I quite liked this one today. It was also the first time wearing my Adidas Superstars, I love how casual they are when finishing off a look.
I was surprised how warm it was outside today considering it was February, hence why I opted for a fluffy jumper and a thinner coat - it was a good idea until it started tipping it down and my fluffy jumper didn't feel so cosy! Didn't get up to much today, just popped to uni and then have been geeking it up, catching up on uni work.

How was everyones valentines weekend? Get up too much?

Ok, this is a longer post than normal, but I've kept it as brief as possible for you guys to read, as not to bore you! enjoy!

Met at the university at 3am to travel to Heathrow.
Flew from Heathrow at 8.30am, arriving at JFK 11.30 at local time.
Dropped our luggage a the hotel. We stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania - not the nicest of hotels but the location was great as it was quite central.
Unpacked and checked out the area around the hotel.
Went to watch Brooklyn Nets Vs. Houston Rockets basketball game at the Barclays Centre, Brooklyn. JAYZ AND BEYONCE WERE HERE, I WAS BREATHING THE SAME AIR AS BEYONCE!
I don’t understand basketball at all, but it was an experience.
Headed home for an early-ish night to try and get over the jetlag.

Up at 9am for a fashion tour of Manhattan, visiting the ‘ladies mile’, Soho, Chelsea, Greenwich and much more.
Visitied the FIT Museum for the Faking it: Originals, copies and counterfeits exhibition.
Had to stop for some real American slices of pizza! They were so tasty it was unreal.
Went to Times Square, popping in shops like American Apparel, Sephora, etc along the way to pick up some goodies.
Explored Central Park, its such a peaceful place in the middle of such a hectic city, was so surreal.
Bought my first ever Wendys Burger meal, it was probably the best burger I have ever eaten!
Visited the Empire State Building that evening. Was an emotional experience, with beautiful views and an amazing aura. Definitely a highlight of my entire New York trip.
Up at 9am again, this time for a tour of Macy’s. Got to learn the insides of the store and how they work, very interesting.
Managed to get lost on the subway, ending up in the middle of Harlem!
Eventually found ourselves Downtown and took the ferry over the the Statue of Liberty.
I have never been so cold, as I was on the ferry to reach Liberty Island, it was horrible, but worth it.
Paid our respects at the 9/11 memorial, such a beautiful place for lost ones to be remembered. Was very emotional, but lovely to see.
Took a trip along Wall street before moving on to China Town and Little Italy.
Had dinner at a little place called the Food Center, a quaint restaurant with lovely staff and wonderful food, definitely worth a visit!

Last day in New York, travel home this afternoon, so woke early to make the most of the time we had left.
Dunkin’ Doughnuts for breakfast, the most amazing doughnuts I have ever eaten.
Revisited shops to pick up last minute gifts and purchases.
Found the Alice in Wonderland statue within central park -I am obsessed with the story, so I was eager to find this!
Went to Times Square for once last glimpse.
Shared a 50 McNugget box at Mcdonalds between two of us - We just had too!
Sadly had to travel home after this!

I have to say I had the most amazing time in New York. Ive never found a city to be so inspirational and full of dreams as I did this one, I highly recommend visiting it at some point within your lifetime just to experience the amazing views, culture, attractions and definitely the FOOD!

Have you been to New York, what did you think? Where else have you been on your travels?
